The Verde Canyon Railroad is often referred to as the finest train ride in Arizona and acclaimed as Arizona’s longest-running nature show. The remote wilderness of the Verde Canyon, located west of Sedona and below Jerome, is renowned for its towering red rock pinnacles and clean, green waters. The train rolls past Indian ruins, through a 680-foot man-made tunnel, over old-fashioned trestles and under clear azure skies. This picturesque setting is further enhanced by the variety of indigenous flora and fauna and the many migrating waterfowl. Over thirty bald and golden eagles winter in this riparian respite each year. Passengers enjoy this four-hour scenic train ride aboard renovated passenger coaches and open-air viewing cars pulled by vintage locomotives. The Verde Canyon is often called 'Arizona’s other Grand Canyon' with spectacular canyon scenery, on a train trip that offers visual feasts including seasonal spring flowers, fall foliage and hundreds of migratory birds, such as the majestic bald eagle.

No other discounts apply. All Packages must be paid in full 72 hours prior to arrival. Cancellations must be 48 hours in advance of arrival for a credit or refund.

First Class features living room-style seating, a cash bar, complimentary appetizers, champagne upon boarding, beverage service to all seats during trip, and fewer passengers.

Coach Class provides Pullman style seating with two seats on each side of a center aisle, as well as a snack bar which provides sodas, bottled beers and wine, candy bars and chips.

Combine Verde Canyon and Grand Canyon!
2 unique and very different rides! If you would like to combine both train ride experiences, the Wilderness Train by Verde Canyon Railroad PLUS the "Ride of Another Lifetime" by Grand Canyon Railway (GCN), please add $93 per adult in GCN Club Class  ie. $134 per adult in GCN First Class to the package prices listed above and make sure to insert the date for the GCN train ride in the cell below! La Quinta is mid-way between the two trains. The Verde Canyon train is an afternoon experience, then you spend the night at La Quinta and the next morning you go on the Grand Canyon Railway tour.
